At its core craft is all about learning then passing along skills so I am thrilled to now offer one on one lessons in my jewelry studio. Whether you are interested in making jewelry for the first time, wanting to brush up on your bench skills, or have a specific project in mind I am here to offer my experience and space. All tools and materials will be included and please feel free to reach out with any questions or requests. Hope to see you in the studio soon!

Two hour one on one jewelry/ metalsmithing lesson with Olivia Ruxton
Perfect for someone looking to begin their metalsmithing journey, if you have a specific skill you are looking to learn in the studio, or if you have a project in mind that you would like help brining to life.

Join me in my studio for a three hour hands on workshop where you and a partner will learn the basics of metalsmithing. You will create your own set of sterling silver stacking bands by learning how to saw, form, solder, hammer, and polish metal using an array of tools and techniques. We will also learn how to add texture and patina to your beautiful bands. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who loves to create. I hope to see you in the studio soon!

I provide all tools and equipment for the workshop.
In this hands on workshop I will teach you the step by step process of making your very own bezel set semi precious stone ring. You will learn the basics of metalsmithing including sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing as well as how to add a beautiful gem to the band using the bezel setting technique. These rings will be constructed in sterling silver and you will get to hand select your stone from my collection in the studio. This is the perfect class for friends, partners, bridesmaids, or anyone who just loves making things with their hands. In a four hour class we will go through the whole process together and you will leave with your very own handmade ring!
